Current professional work:

(A).      Clinical
As a consultant in internal medicine and pulmonologist, I supervise a team of physicians (interns, residents, senior registrars and assistants) in diagnosis and management of patients in the ward and in the clinic.  As a pulmonologist, my work also includes consultations, bronchoscopy, and PFT interpretation.
       Procedures related to Pulmonary Medicine:
Flexible Fiber-optic Bronchoscopy with experience in bronchoalveolar lavage ( BAL ), cytology brushing, endo-bronchial biopsy, and trans-bronchial biopsy, transbronchial needle aspiration (Wang needle) biopsy; Diagnostic and therapeutic thoracentesis, pulmonary rehabilitation and pulmonary Function Testing. 

(B).      Academic
Academic activities as a University staff include extensive teaching for both undergraduate and postgraduate students (Saudi Board and Fellowship), and participation in Grand Rounds, and Examination Review courses and sessions. Participation in pulmonary section activities including journal club and radiology meetings

(C).      Research
My main field of research is pulmonary medicine including bronchial asthma, epidemiology, COPD and interstitial lung diseases.  I participated in many research projects in Saudi Arabia

Teaching experience:

            Through my training in medicine and pulmonology, I had the responsibility of teaching students, interns, and medical residents as well as supervising their clinical work.  My responsibility included teaching of medical students, interns Saudi and Arab Board residents as well as participating in all postgraduate teaching programs and courses besides my clinical practice commitments.
