     Primary, secondary and high school education in Vienna and Klagenfurt, Austria, medical studies at University of Vienna, completed with the promotion as a MD 1988. Training as a family physician, general surgeon and pediatric surgeon completed at the University of Vienna and other Hospitals of primary, secondary and tertiary levels in Austria. Numerous courses and short educational stays in Germany, USA, Ireland, Sweden, Italy,Canada and South Africa.

Special education including neonatal surgery, surgery in very low birth weight infants and extremely low birth weight infants, minimal invasive procedures in infants and in adults.

Scientific work on clinical studies regarding minimal invasive procedures in pediatric population and tumor markers.

Involvement in the setup of pediatric surgical units at different Hospitals - two in Austria, one in Malaysia, one in Abu Dhabi and one in Kazakhstan. Those functions gave me considerable expertise in management, development and implementation of Surgical units. I was also strongly involved (leading function) in ISO and JCI certifications during my carreer.

My research and scientific work was well recognized in 2004 after a hearing and mandated expertise from different European University Clinics by investing me the "venia docendi" - professorship (license to lecture at the Medical University of Vienna independently).

I was appointed subsequently as associate Professor of Pediatric Surgery of the Medical University of Vienna. Still a publishing author, I have written extensively on the subject of minimal invasive surgery in pediatric surgery and diagnosing and treatment of appendicitis.

In 2004 completed a postgraduate study with a diploma and 2011 finished an international MBA study both in Health Care Management (Medical University of Vienna)

Due to my expertise in general surgery, pediatric surgery and family medicine I have been assigned and certified as a Medical Expert of the Austrian Court in 2003.

In November 2009 I was appointed as a adjunct associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the most recognized Arab medical university (Al Ain, Abu Dhabi) as well as a surgeon and head of the pediatric surgical departement of the Al Ain Hospital. For this reason I have been certified and licensed in Abu Dhabi as MD - Consultant Pediatric Surgery (ID: E17139; License number HAAD:

GD10201 valid Oct. 08 2009 till Oct 07, 2011).

In 2010 I was appointed as the Chief Medical Officer of the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health in the capital of Kazachstan, Astana, a 500 bed tertiary care hospital for gynecology, obstetrics and pediatrics affiliated to the medical university (Nazarbayev University). Completing my job there I returned back to Vienna to continue as a professor of pediatric surgery and from January 2014 I followed the call to organize the new OT center (17 operating theatres) at the University Hospital Graz (Medical University of Graz). This task was completed in January 31st, 2015.
